All right, time for our JoeBlogs Hall of Fame second class. Just a reminder, each of our first 10 classes will feature 13 players — one at each of the eight positions, three pitchers and two wild-cards.
You might remember: The keyword for the JoeBlogs Hall of Fame is “legendary.” Yes, of course, we want all the best players in there. But what we REALLY want are people who were/are just a little bit larger than life. Down the road, this could lead to some surprising selections, as I’m sure you can think of some players who are not in the Hall of Fame but were titanic figures, famous beyond their accomplishments, magical in some way.
For our first 10 classes, though, I suspect there will not be many surprises. But it’s worth noting that I’m always thinking about players who really fit that legendary tag. I’ll talk more about that in a moment.
I am currently reworking my website and I’m hoping when I’m done to have some sort of JoeBlogs Hall of Fame plaque page there. I’ll let you know when all of that is worked out.
Here we go! (In alphabetical order.)
