And it’s time for our third class of JoeBlogs Hall of Famers. Once again, to remind you, our first 10 classes will include the following:
8 position players (one at each position)
3 pitchers
2 wild cards
As we inducted our first couple of classes, I am seeing quite a few players that I want to just get into the JoeBlogs Hall of Fame right away — this is particularly true for outfielders. But I’m not going to rush things. Every class needs a couple of headliners, I think, so I’m not going to just jam those players into the wild-card spots going forward unless I have a special reason to do so.
To give you an example without offering spoilers: I need to get Joe DiMaggio into the JoeBlogs Hall of Fame, obviously. So far, I have not quite found a natural spot for him. So I could just make him a wild-card pick, but I’m not going to do that. He will obviously get in; he’s an inner circle JoeBlogs Hall of Famer. But he will get in when the time’s right.
I am trying to maintain a JBHOF page at my website. I don’t know when I’ll be able to update it, but I will get to it when I can.
And here we go. As always, would love for you subscribe and be a part of the fun.
