Put It on the Board
Soto, Browns-Chiefs, a World Chess Championship update, a new name for Fine Starts and more.
OK, lots to talk about today—Soto, Browns-Chiefs, a World Chess Championship update, a new name for Fine Starts and more—but first, a splash of old business:
The 38th annual PosCast Holiday Draft will, we hope, drop on Monday and it is as ridiculous as ever.
There are a few WHY WE LOVE FOOTBALL deals going on just in time for the holiday season. It’s available for just $20 at both Amazon and Target, and there are still some signed copies available at Barnes & Noble. Of course, I love the independent bookstores most of all, but a deal is a deal. If you’re desperate to get a signed AND inscribed copy for a loved one (or someone you don’t even like very much) there are a VERY LIMITED number at Park Road Books here in Charlotte that I will personalize and inscribe; you’ll need to call them in the next couple days, though, in order to get the books by Christmas (and before they run out): That number is (704) 525-9239.
For those of you who have reached out to say you would love to join a fun baseball gathering in London, well, we’re still working on details, but I have a few now. I believe it will be on Jan. 4. I believe and hope we will be at a very fun bar (either baseball-themed or cricket-themed, still trying to figure out what will be best). And I believe that a certain PosCast co-host and a very tall former major league pitcher will be with us. If you’re interested in joining, GMail us at PosCastRaffle and please include “Baseball Get-Together” in the subject line, so it doesn’t get confused with the many unique fan origin stories that are pouring in (feel free to send your unique fan origin story too!).
Let’s get on with the show!
OK, it pains me to admit this,
